Democratic principles are the foundation upon which Canada’s political system is built. Over one million Canadians  fought to protect our democracy and freedom in two world wars.

Canadians value democracy both at home and around the world. As we watch how fragile democracy is and how easily it can disappear, Canadians are speaking up for it loudly and clearly. There is no place in a democracy for the elimination of majority rule in government. This is why the Ontario Strong Mayors, Building Homes Act (2022) must be repealed.
